Math education doesn't change one student at a time. It changes one teacher at a time - and that's exactly where your support goes.

When a teacher is mentored, supported, and truly seen in their work, the impact doesn't end when the school year does. It carries forward into every classroom they'll ever teach - and into every student who learns to see themselves as a thinker.

There is a stubborn myth in education that math is something you either have or you don't. Too many students - particularly students of color, students in under-resourced schools, students who've never seen a mathematician who looks like them - absorb this message early and carry it for life.

4D Math Alliance exists to disrupt that. We do it by working with the people who have the most direct influence on whether students believe in their own mathematical potential: their teachers. When we mentor a math teacher - when we give them the strategies, the confidence, and the community to teach in truly equitable ways - we change the experience of every student in that classroom. And the classroom after that. And the one after that.

That is the return on your investment. Not a single lesson. A career's worth of teaching, transformed.

What your support makes possible

Your gift directly funds the programs and people at the heart of 4DMA's work. Here's what different levels of support look like in practice - confirm these with your team before publishing:

$50

Funds one month of Math 1:1 virtual mentorship for a teacher

$150

Covers a full semester of live weekly coaching sessions

$500

Sponsors a teacher's attendance at a 4DMA professional learning event

$1,000+

Underwrites a year of mentorship for one teacher - and every student they teach

The multiplier effect: The average K-12 teacher teaches approximately 30 students per year. Over a 30-year career, that's 900 students. When your gift helps one teacher teach more equitably, that impact compounds across every student they will ever reach.

Ways to support 4DMA

There are several ways to invest in this work, whatever your capacity:

  • Make a one-time gift. Every dollar goes directly to teacher mentorship, professional learning events, and the development of free instructional resources for 4DMA members.

  • Become a recurring supporter. Monthly giving is the most impactful way to support our work - it allows us to plan, hire, and sustain mentorship relationships over time rather than program by program.

  • Sponsor a teacher. Designate your gift to fully fund one teacher's 4DMA membership and mentorship for a year. We'll keep you updated on the impact of your sponsorship.

  • Corporate and foundation partnership. We welcome partnerships with organizations that share our commitment to educational equity. Contact us to explore co-branded programs, event sponsorships, and strategic grants.

  • Spread the word. Not in a position to give financially right now? Share 4DMA with a teacher who needs us, a funder who might be interested, or a school leader looking for a better way to support their math staff.

Please consider making a tax deductible contribution to the 4D Math Alliance Fund. Your gift is more than a contribution, it is an investment that will enable 4D Math Alliance to support mathematics teachers when they need it most. By supporting one teacher, 30+ students are influenced.
